Frequently Asked Questions

  • We play in Chapters of five weekly sessions, and take every sixth week off.

  • I host most of the clubs at my family-friendly communal space in the Concordia neighborhood of NE Portland. The Wonderwood Club sessions are hosted at Wonderwood Springs Restaurant and Mini Golf in St. John’s. But for new clubs and events, I am flexible!

  • Better engagement. ‍5 weeks allows time for the plot to unfold, letting players settle in to explore the world and progress their characters, unlocking new abilities and features that further encourage creativity and experimentation.

Better relationships. 5 weeks also establishes a strong foundation for trust, social connection, and feelings of belonging amongst their fellow players and Game Master.

Better scheduling. Taking a break every 6th week offers families the flexibility to make other plans without missing crucial story developments.

  • As long as we have a healthy roster of players! Most of our campaigns are comprised of many small adventures, and can go on months or even longer! The longer the campaign, the richer the story and deeper the friendships!

For new clubs: Fill out an interest form here. Once there are enough available players for your selected day/time, we’ll contact you to start the new club!

For clubs at capacity:‍ ‍If any current player slots in existing clubs become available, those slots are offered to the wait list after Week Three of the five-week chapter. You can join a wait-list here.

Before enrollment, our GM Cameron will contact you to schedule a digital meet-n-greet with the player and their guardian. This provides an opportunity to do introductions, discuss expectations/needs, and brainstorm character ideas! If it seems like a good fit for everyone, an official enrollment email will be sent within the next 5 business days.

  • Re-enroll on Week Three of your Chapter. Three weeks into a five-week Chapter, re-enrollment opens for current players. Any remaining slots are offered to waitlisted players. On the fourth week of the current campaign, if there are still available slots, enrollment for the next campaign will officially open to the public. On week 5, we will bid our farewells to any characters that may be leaving our group, and prepare ourselves for our next adventure!

  • Yes. In the event that a session lands on the day of a widely observed holiday, it will not be counted as 1 of the 5 weeks of the campaign. The postponed session will resume the following week.

  • As of now, accommodations cannot be made for full-time remote players. However, in-person players with irregular schedules that prohibit them from being physically present at every session may inquire for virtual accommodations.

  • At this time, we cannot accommodate single session players in our ongoing campaigns. However, we do offer one-shot (single session) campaigns for players looking to test themselves in a ready-made adventure! Visit our Packages & Pricing page for more details.

  • Please pack your child plenty of water and a snack. Everything else, we’ve got you covered!

  • Yes! If for whatever reason your child is not enjoying their experience and would like to exit the game, a full refund will be provided. In which case, any feedback for us would be greatly appreciated.

  • There are a few factors to this, but the simple answer is that it depends on group composition. There are no guarantees, but we can do our best to accommodate a switch.

  • Dungeons & Dragons is beautifully customizable to all kinds of people, across every spectrum. We cannot make blanket guarantees, but we will do everything within our capacity to meet them! Please reach out to discuss.
